I went to Eggs Etc for breakfast with my mom and daughter about 2 weeks ago! It was my first time but my daughter frequents the place often! I really enjoyed the food, I got pancakes (so good), eggs and bacon with a half order of California spuds (so good)! We ate outside and the service was great! I'm trying to make time to take my husband so he can try it!

I've been coming here for many years and I'm never disappointed. I usually sit on the patio but the inside is really cozy also. It has a homelike/ traditional diner feel. Customer service has always been friendly here. I usually get breakfast or the cheeseburger and fries. I love both!

Not sure how they don't have more stars. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing. They literally went above and beyond. They heard us say it was warm inside so they asked if we'd like to move outside which we did. I am a coffee junky but always espressos never regular coffee. I am happy to say I was impressed with the coffee it's the best non espresso coffee I've ever had. Not just that but they kept up refilling my cup ! As I said the staff was amazing. I haven't even begun to talk of the food but we all ordered different things and everything was delicious. I got banana pancakes with bacon and eggs and it was delicious. Can't wait to come back.

My new favorite breakfast spot! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is super cute definitely going to sit outside next time. Food is really good traditional breakfast. The kiddos had a grilled cheese and fries and they devoured it. I ordered the chorizo and eggs scramble with tortillas and home potatoes and my husband had the hobo omelet which was an omelet with onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, bacon and sausage with cheese on top. Both our meals were so delicious and my husband especially wants to come back for their banana blueberry granola pancake! Our server was very sweet and accommodating, we will defend be back!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Solid breakfast option in the LBC. Eggs Etc has become one of our fave breakfast spots for their good food, service, and reasonable prices. It generally doesn't get quite mobbed like coffee cup or breakfast bar and they open earlier than most other spots, if you're the early bird type. The food is typical diner fare, nothing fancy, but as such, they're good at what they do. I've tried several different items and they've all been good. Their home fries are crisp (I didn't even have to ask for then well done), and the banana pancakes are A+. Their patio is very pleasant on a warm day and their service has always been great. What's not to like?

02/17/24 I have driven by here numerous times and always say I'll try this place soon - years have passed and I finally did it. Met with my friend for breakfast and she wanted outside seating. It was a beautiful morning so it was perfect. Got there about 8:30am and there was no one on the patio. I ordered the Baja omelette: Chorizo, onions, sour cream, avocado and cheese. It comes with country potatoes and one side. I got a pancake and it was huge! I loved my meal. It was so good. It had a slight spice to it which I loved because I'm not crazy about too much spice. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict. She is very particular of how the egg should be made. She said it was slightly overcooked but gave it a 8/10. It did give her the runny yolk she was looking for but still slightly overcooked. The two waiters who tended to us were so nice and attentive. I would come back just because of that. 10/10 I will definitely be back.

I drove by Eggs Etc in Long Beach for years before actually stopping in. It was always packed on weekends, but my true breakfast love had always been Potholder. Still adore Potholder, but I always felt they did better with their wackier options than just the classic breakfast fare. When I finally sat down at Eggs Etc, I was pleasantly surprised to find how good their basics are. I've been a few times now whenever I've had a craving for eggs, potatoes, and a pancake. Their omelettes are always cooked perfectly (my fave is to get the Three Cheese and add in bacon and spinach). Their house potatoes could be a meal on their own - dense, flavorful, crispy, and seasoned beautifully. They have a sign outside advertising their banana pancakes. I am pleased to say they are worth the try. They're simple - nothing fancy or extremely sugary about them - but they have a great ratio of big banana chunks to buttermilk batter. They're exactly what you'd make at home, but just a liiiiittle bigger and better, which is sometimes all I want from a spot like this. Service has been both great and curious. Waiters are usually really thoughtful and polite, constantly checking to see if we need refills. One time, though, we were seated by a manager or possibly an owner who spent the first five minutes telling us what NOT to do at our table (like splitting checks certain ways, ordering certain customizations, changing seats, taking prolonged time before paying)... which was really strange, because we weren't planning on ordering any differently or indicated any changes. Sometimes you just catch folks on a bad day, though. What you see is exactly what you get at Eggs Etc. Don't come in ready to be knocked out by innovation, but if you want that classic breakfast done right, they're the ones to try.
